About Me

My photo
Pope's Place
Yukon, Oklahoma, United States
My name is Laura Pope. I am a mother of two beautiful children and have a wonderfully, supportive guitar playing husband. I have been teaching for sixteen years. I come from an instrumental background. I am a jazz bassist on the side. :) You will notice throughout my posts that I believe strongly in Arts Integration. In Oklahoma, we have a wonderful program called Oklahoma A+ Schools. I was lucky enough to have been a part of that program for several years, it has shaped they way I teach. It focuses on using the arts across the curriculum. I also believe strongly in technology in the classroom. Over the years I have seen a shift in my students the more that I have used technology. If you have any questions or suggestions please don't hesitate to send me a note. :)
